Satvik Aggarwal finishes 7th at National Skating Championship

Bengal’s Satvik Aggarwal a five-year old student of Class one (I) of Sri Sri Academy, Alipore recently participated in 2nd Ranking National Skating Championship held at Raipur, Chattisgarh from 17th to 19th June,2022 in the 200 metres category.

Satvik Aggarwal finishes 7th at National Skating Championship

Mumbai, July 01 Bengal's Satvik Aggarwal a five-year old student of Class one (I) of Sri Sri Academy, Alipore recently participated in 2nd Ranking National Skating Championship held at Raipur, Chattisgarh from 17th to 19th June,2022 in the 200 metres category.

Satvik, son of Kunal Aggarwal, an IPS officer of West Bengal Cadre. competed against best skaters from throughout India and has been ranked 7th overall. He represented the state of West Bengal in Nationals. This year, he received special applause by the judges, parents and fellow skaters at Raipur, when; in the qualifying round he tumbled down while taking a turn in the skating rink but quickly gathered courage and beat his rivals to reach the quarterfinals.

Little did anyone know when he started skating about 5 months back to avoid post-Covid boredom and online classes that he will be soon representing his state in National Level speed roller skating championship in such a short time. He learnt single wheel inline skating during Covid-19; under the guidance of his coach, S Ali of Sports 'n Joy Academy, Howrah. His coach is hopeful that Satvik Aggarwal will set records in Nationals as he has an exceptional talent.

Earlier too, he has won various gold medals in other Skating championships like Krishnanagar Inter-district Sports Village Championship and other sports skating clubs. He is an enthusiastic athlete and has been doing marathons of 5 km timed runs since the time he was 3 years old.

His school teachers and fellow students have congratulated him on this feat and wished him more laurels in times to come. His proud parents and family members have thanked everyone for their wishes and are keeping Satvik motivated for his future endeavours.
