What is NYT Connections?

How to Play NYT Connections
You’ll see a grid filled with words, and your task is to group them into related sets of four. Look for synonyms, common themes, or wordplay to spot the connections.
The categories are color-coded:
Yellow is typically the easiest
Green and Blue are moderately challenging
Purple tends to be the trickiest
When you think you’ve found a correct group, select the four words and hit ‘Submit’. If you're off by one word, the game may give you a hint — but be careful! You only get a limited number of guesses before the game ends.
A new puzzle is available every midnight, and you can play it on the NYT website or mobile app. Track your progress, maintain streaks, and challenge friends to see who’s the master puzzler!
Happy puzzling — and see you tomorrow for another round!
