The supercar manufacturer Lamborghini launched the special edition SUV Urus Graphite Capsule Edition earlier this month and the car has made the headlines pop since its launch.

What is Lamborghini Urus Graphite Capsule Edition?

Lamborghini introduced its supercar Urus back in 2018 and had revamped it in the form of new Urus Graphite Capsule edition.

The new supercar gets unique cosmetic touches to stand out from the standard SUV. These cosmetic updates are similar in nature, to the ones seen on the Urus Pearl Capsule Edition that was launched in India earlier this year. Lamborghini Urus Graphite Capsule Edition hit the Indian roads earlier in August. Features

The Graphite Capsule edition offers buyers the choice of unique paint and trim finishes for the Urus. It is available in four matte-finish paint shades black, grey, ultra grey and white which buyers can pair with gloss finished inserts on places such as the lower doors, front splitter and rear spoilers. There are four trim colours to choose from allowing for a total of 16 colour combinations. Additionally, the rear diffuser is finished in gloss black and the SUV sits on 23-inch Taigete wheels compared to the standard version which comes with 21-inch alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin gets new trim inserts with dark anodized aluminum and matte finish carbon fiber. The seats come finished in alcantara with contrast finished hexagonal stitching and leather inserts. They also feature the Urus name and Lamborghini logo embroidered into the seat back and headrest respectively.

The special edition gets a few visual upgrades compared to the standard model which includes a gloss black finish on the bumper, body skirts, ORVMs, wheel cladding and the roof. The quad exhaust tips get a texture of brushed silver replacing the matte black ones on the standard version.

There are no mechanical updates to the Graphite Capsule edition. The SUV is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine developing 650hp and 850Nm. The power is dispatched to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox with Lamborghini claiming a top speed of 305kph, and a 0-100kph dash in just 3.6 seconds.

Competition

In terms of rivals, the new Lamborghini Urus Graphite Capsule Edition competes with Bentley Bentayga, Aston Martin DBX and Maserati Levante.

Bentayga is priced starting at Rs 3.85 crore which is claimed to achieve 100 Kmph from stand still is around 4.1 seconds and has top speed of 301 kmph. The DBX is priced at Rs 3.82 crores which is claimed to achieve 100Kmph in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 295 kmph. The cheapest of them, Levante is priced at 1.5 crores and is claimed to achieve 100 kmph in 6.5 seconds and has a top speed of 260Kmph.

Well, by comparing to the market we can easily say that the Lamborghini is the fastest of them all on paper and has features and looks which standout from the competition.

Price in India

The Lamborghini Graphite Capsule edition is priced at Rs 3.43 crore ex-showroom, India which is a bit higher than the standard SUV, which is priced at Rs 3.14 crores, as the saying goes 'extra add-ons, extra price people'.

The Lamborghini Urus is the first modern-day SUV from the brand it has gained massive popularity around the world. In India, it has become the quickest selling Lamborghini ever and the brand has delivered more than 100 units of the high-performance SUV in the country.

Junior NTR

Two days after Lamborghini officially introduced the Urus in Graphite Capsule Edition in India on August 16, Tollywood star Jr NTR became the first buyer of the special edition SUV. The actor is a car enthusiast too. He took the delivery in Hyderabad, Telangana. The actor was spotted jetting off in his swanky new car on the streets of Hyderabad.
