Amitabh Bachchan-backed Tara gaming unveils trailer for ‘The Age of Bhaarat’

Indian gaming studio Tara Gaming has released the first trailer for its debut title, “The Age of Bhaarat,” a high-octane action-adventure role-playing game set in a mythological world inspired by ancient India. Though no release date has been announced yet, the game is confirmed for launch on PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store) and consoles.
Backed by Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, celebrated author Amish Tripathi, and Noredine Abboud, a veteran game developer known for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, Tara Gaming is aiming to bring Indian narratives to the global gaming stage with AAA-level production quality.
“The Age of Bhaarat” is more than a game—it’s a cultural experience crafted with high-end development tools and deeply rooted in Indian traditions, epics, and folklore.
What to Expect from the Game
The story, written by Amish Tripathi (famed for the Shiva Trilogy), follows a mystical Forest Warden on a mission to protect the fictional land of Anandpur from demonic Rakshasa invaders. With themes of duty, betrayal, and moral choices, the player’s decisions will influence how the story unfolds.
Key Gameplay Features:
Mythology-Based Combat: Traditional weapons, spiritual powers, and intense vertical combat sequences.
Traversal Mechanics: Grappling hooks, climbing, and exploration across lush forests, peaks, and sacred lakes.
Solo & Multiplayer Modes: Designed for both individual immersion and team play.

Tara Gaming says this is just the beginning of its vision to build a rich universe of Indian games with international appeal.
