The trial run of two air-conditioned double-decker buses as part of introducing hop-on hop-off (HOHO) serviceIt has been launched here as part of tourism promotion.
Special Chief Secretary, Tourism Ajay Jain while flagging off the buses, told the officials to make the buses popular once they are launched formally. It will not only promote joy rides for the tourists, these are also initiatives to encourage sustainable tourism in popular spots like Visakhapatnam, which has the highest tourist footfall in the State.
HOHO buses will have charging stations at various designated places. The buses will enable commuters to disembark at any place and board the next bus after spending some time as per the time duration fixed for the ticket bought by them during the day.
