According to the officials working on India energy imports UAE crude, the Indian-flagged tanker Jag Laadki finally arrived at Mundra Port in Gujarat. Jag Laadki crude oil vessel is carrying around 80,886 metric tonnes of crude oil. It has finally reached on March 18, 2026 after lots of issues.

In a statement, Adani Ports said that the crude oil carried by ‘Jag Laadki’ was sourced from the United Arab Emirates. It was loaded in India at Fujairah Port.

On March 17, 2026, the LPG carrier ‘Nanda Devi’ arrived at Vadinar port in Gujarat’s Devbhumi Dwarka district. It is carrying about 46,500 metric tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas after crossing the Strait of Hormuz. On March 16, 2026, one more vessel called ‘Shivalik’ carrying LPG reached at Mundra Port.

An official said, “Measuring 274.19 metres in length overall and 50.04 metres in beam, the tanker boasts a deadweight tonnage of approximately 164,716 tonnes and a gross tonnage of about 84,735 tonnes”.

The authorities also added that the tanker’s arrival at the Mundra Port underscores the facility’s serious role in managing the extensive crude imports.

Adani Ports also added, “This delivery supports a major refinery that relies on such shipments to maintain operations and bolster India’s energy security during supply disruptions in the region”.

The port offered the secure berthing of the vessel and maritime harmonization in safeguarding the important energy lifelines of India. India's oil supply amid Middle East war has been successfully secured.

India imports just about 85% of its crude oil, 60% of its LPG and 50% of its natural gas demands. Before the Middle East war and Tehran’s retaliation, more than half of India’s crude imports, about 30% of gas and 85 to 90% of LPG imports came from nations like Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
