Hyderabad: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) honoured the invaluable services of women sanitation workers who tirelessly safeguard the city’s cleanliness and public health.
As part of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban), GHMC organized the “Nari-Led Swachhata” programme at Jayaprakash Nagar in Yousufguda Circle on Sunday. The event celebrated the dedication of women sanitation workers and local women who actively contribute to strengthening cleanliness initiatives.
Officials praised the women workforce, emphasising that their role in keeping Hyderabad clean, green, and healthy is truly remarkable. Their service is not just routine work, it is a mission of dignity, resilience, and care for the community.
