Xiaomi has launched the 15T Pro, a new addition to its T-series, offering near-flagship performance at a lower price. The device combines high-end features with a Leica-backed camera, 90W fast charging, and a large AMOLED display, positioning it against the iPhone 17 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The 15T Pro starts at £649/€799 with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM. It is available in Europe, the UK, and select Asian markets, but not officially in the United States. Xiaomi provides launch perks including three months of Google AI Pro, YouTube Premium, and Spotify Premium trials, along with free screen replacement for six months and out-of-warranty repairs within a year.
The phone weighs 210 grams, is 7.96mm thin, and carries IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. It features a satin-finish aluminum frame and a fiberglass back panel for durability. Available colors include Mocha Gold, Black, and Gray. The 6.83-inch AMOLED screen has a resolution of 2712 x 1220, supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and offers a 144Hz refresh rate, though it does not include a fully dynamic LTPO panel.
The 15T Pro runs HyperOS 2 on Android 15, offering deep customization, smooth animations, and advanced multitasking tools. The software supports five years of OS updates and six years of security updates. HyperAI features include animated wallpapers and enhanced photo editing tools, while preloaded apps are minimal and free of intrusive ads.
Performance is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The phone handles demanding apps and games smoothly, aided by a 12 percent larger 3D IceLoop cooling system compared to the previous generation. Xiaomi Offline Communication allows calls and texts up to 1.9 kilometers without cellular coverage.
The camera system includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a new 5x periscopic telephoto lens. The Leica color tuning produces rich colors and accurate shadows. The front camera is 32MP. Video recording supports 8K at 30fps and 4K at 120fps with HDR10+ and LOG capture. The ultra-wide sensor performs well in bright light but lags in low-light conditions.
Battery capacity is 5500mAh with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. The phone lasts about a day of heavy use, and Top Speed charging reaches 85 percent in 30 minutes, fully charging in 37 minutes.
