Microsoft has expanded its Xbox Cloud Gaming service to India, thus allowing users to play and stream a variety of games from the cloud. The service ensures uninterrupted gameplay on various devices like PCs, Xbox consoles, smartphones, and portable systems.
As per the press release issued by Microsoft on November 11, the service is now also compatible with select Samsung and LG smart TVs along with Amazon Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Cube models. Thus, India is now the 29th country to get Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Some of the popular games that can be played are Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Detective Dotson, The Palace on the Hill, and Raji: An Ancient Epic. A high-speed internet connection, a compatible Bluetooth-enabled controller, and an active Xbox Game Pass subscription are prerequisites for gamers wishing to access those games through cloud streaming.
Microsoft mentioned that among the platform features streaming of personal game libraries is one of the major attractions for the users and that they can stream across all supported devices. Multiplayer modes are also supported, allowing the gamers to be on the same team despite being miles apart. Besides, every user gets the benefit of dedicated support services and in-app guidance that aid new users.
How to Start with Xbox Cloud Gaming in India
To start streaming games with Xbox Cloud Gaming:
Open a compatible browser like Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Apple Safari.
Then go to xbox.com/play
Log in with your Xbox Game Pass account.
Next, connect a compatible controller.
The supported controllers to play with are the Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, PlayStation DualSense, and DualShock 4. While a few games allow mouse-and-keyboard input on PCs, only a limited number grant touch controls on mobile devices. If users want to access their accounts on smart TVs, they have to download the Xbox app on the supported Samsung, LG, or Amazon Fire TV smart TVs.
