X Faces Outage in India and US, Thousands of Users Affected
Social media platform X (formerly Twitter) faced a global outage, impacting thousands of users in India and the US, with peak reports crossing 18,000 before services were restored.

Thousands of users in the US and India were unable to access microblogging site X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday due to a significant outage. At its peak, approximately 11:01 am ET (8:30 pm IST), more than 16,400 incidents were reported worldwide, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.com.
Over 840 complaints about disruptions were filed in India between 8:00 and 8:30 p.m. New York, Chicago, Tampa, Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio were among the major cities in the United States that were affected by the problem.
Outage reports steadily decreased from a peak of 18,000 to about 600, even though the platform's services soon started to recover. The precise number of impacted accounts may vary because Downdetector gathers information from user-submitted reports.
Interestingly, earlier in the day, thousands of Facebook users in the US also experienced app crashes and login issues.
