Vivo has made it known that they have developed a new operating system, OriginOS 6, which will be available all over the world starting November. The new system is going to upgrade the AI capabilities, the user interface, and the performance of the devices to the next level and thus, make it easier for vivo to interact with the users.
OriginOS 6 is based on the Origin Smooth Engine, which is responsible for the management of the CPU, display, and storage resources ensuring uniform responsiveness. Vivo states that this platform gives the users faster app launching, more stable image rendering, and touch interactions that feel more natural. In addition to this, the Snap-Up Engine allocates resources to the high-priority tasks and at the same time SGS certification guarantees that the performance will be consistently smooth even after long periods of simulated usage.
The design upgrades have also been a major focus of the company. The company’s Origin Design philosophy has been the inspiration behind the new interface which blends into what is around it by being minimal and gentle to the touch.
The OS now comes with vivo Sans2 that covers more than 40 languages and is accompanied by the visual effects of Dynamic Glow and Translucent Color. The users can set their screens according to their taste by using adaptive folders, dynamic home and lock screens, and interactive Flip Cards that enliven images and widgets.
To put the AI integration into practice, Vivo has been working closely with Google and has brought in various technologies like Gemini and Circle to Search, besides the support of Origin Island for making multitasking smoother. The tools assisted by AI include not only photo editing, productivity but also collaboration between devices, thus, the operating system is getting more powerful in daily use cases.
The matters concerning security and efficiency being a priority are being addressed. Vivo Security has gone through an upgrade and the new power management technique called BlueVolt is intended to provide the user with longer battery life and more stable charging.
The global release will begin from November 2025 and it will take some time to reach all customers as it will be done based on the different local markets.
