Vivo, the Indian smartphone manufacturer, is gearing up for the launch of its next-gen flagship smartphones, X300 and X300 Pro on December 2, 2023, after the recent global launch. The new series is likely to inherit the features of its predecessor, the X200 series, focusing on camera capabilities and overall performance.

Pricing rumors have been circulating which indicate the Vivo X300 series is likely to be priced higher than the last year X200 series. According to tipster Abhishek Yadav on X, the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant of the X300 could be priced at Rs 75,999. The 12GB RAM with 512GB storage model is expected to be sold at Rs 81,999, while the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant is speculated to be Rs 85,999.

It is presumed that the X300 Pro will have a much larger price hike. The 16GB RAM and 512GB storage version of last year’s X200 Pro was priced at Rs 94,999 when it was launched, while the X300 Pro is expected to be around Rs 1,09,999, which is about Rs 15,000 increase. The other models within the series may also see a similar increment compared to the X200 prices.

However, analysts in the industry have pointed out that these prices should be considered as unofficial until there is a confirmation from Vivo itself at the December 2 event. It would be better for the consumers to wait for the official announcement to get the definitive pricing and availability information.

The Vivo X300 is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 SoC, which can handle up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. A 6.31-inch flat BOE Q10 Plus LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz adaptive refresh rate is also part of the device specifications. It is equipped with a 6,040mAh battery, which can be charged at 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. An ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is provided for security along with both the IP68/IP69 certifications being granted for durability.

Camera functionality is the main attraction of the X300. It has a 200-megapixel primary sensor, in addition to a 50-megapixel ultra-wide and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3X optical and 100X digital zoom. The Vivo V3+ imaging processor with Zeiss optics is aimed at improving clarity, color accuracy, and light performance. The phone will be available in a striking Red color variant.

The X300 Pro has a bigger 6.78-inch flat BOE Q10 Plus LTPO OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, just like the larger one. It features the Dimensity 9500 chip and supports up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The battery also increases to 6,510mAh but keeps the same recharge rates of 90W wired and 40W wireless.

On the other hand, the Pro model boasts a state-of-the-art CAMERA with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-828 main sensor, 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto with 3.5X optical and 100X digital zoom. The dual-chip imaging system, which combines V3+ and VS1 processors, is designed to provide the bloom of colors, sharp images, and AI-powered enhancement features. The X300 Pro will come in Gold and Black colors.
