The upcoming vivo X300 smartphone series is reportedly set to include a 200-megapixel main sensor, according to new information from industry insider Digital Chat Station. The device is expected to be introduced in October 2025 in China.
The report states that the vivo X300 will feature a triple-lens rear camera system, including a 200MP primary sensor measuring 1/1.4 inches, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto sensor. The main sensor appears to be a shift from the previously rumored 50MP Sony LYT-828 (1/1.28-inch) sensor that was expected to be included in the lineup.
This change indicates vivo's focus on enhancing photo detail and digital zoom capabilities. The handset is also rumored to include a refined optical prism system to aid image stabilization and zoom performance.
The X300 lineup is expected to retain a 6.3-inch OLED panel supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. A 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor may be embedded within the screen. Other hardware details reportedly include support for wireless charging and IP68/IP69 ratings for resistance against dust and water.
Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. Specifics on RAM, battery life, and storage configurations have not yet been confirmed.
vivo is likely to release more details about pricing, variant options, and global availability closer to the launch timeline. The company’s previous X200 series included high-end specifications and optical enhancements, and the X300 is anticipated to follow a similar trajectory with upgraded imaging and durability features.
