Vivo X300 Pro vs X200 Pro: Flat Screen, Selfie Camera, and Battery Test

Vivo's latest flagship smartphone, the X300 Pro, which was earlier launched in China, is already in the office for evaluating through the hands-on method. The new device is a somewhat smaller and more refined version of the X200 Pro, the former being the latter's successor, with differences that are not only subtle but also very noticeable when it comes to design and software.

When the two models are placed side by side, the most striking difference among them is size. The X300 Pro is less in length, width, and thickness than the X200 Pro, thus providing a more compact feel when held. Among the various improvements, the display has been the most talked-about. If the X200 Pro came with a slightly curved screen, the X300 Pro uses a flat-edged panel. The opinion of the group is split with some gravitating toward the conventional curve while the others like the smooth flat edges.

The whole software experience gets a facelift with the launching of the OriginOS 6. It is new operating system that is going to replace Funtouch OS, OriginOS 6 which is going to bring in new visuals and a more unified user interface. The reviewers have pointed out that it seems more attractive in visuals compared to the previous Funtouch iteration and they have also given the reason of clarity and modern layout for this.

Incremental but significant upgrades have been made in the camera department. The X300 Pro inherits a modified version of the earlier model's camera system. Although the main sensors look alike, the front camera is the same as the one received on the X200 Ultra, thus making the chances of getting great quality front-facing images higher. Therefore, detailed picture testing is being conducted to evaluate the quality of the camera performance.

The new model has a 510mAh larger battery than the X200 Pro. First impressions indicate that there might be a possible increase in battery life, however, it is the actual tests in the real-world scenario that will reveal whether the additional capacity results in longer operating time that is noticeably more.

The X300 Pro, in general, merges the small flat-screen appearance with advanced software and slight camera innovations. Critics are particularly watching the daily use of the new OriginOS 6 and the better selfie camera while the battery life upgrades are still being analyzed.
