Vivo is preparing to expand its premium smartphone portfolio with the upcoming X300 and X300 Pro models, which are expected to debut in October, according to new leaks from Chinese social media platform Weibo.
Industry tipster Smart Pikachu claims two devices in the X300 lineup have been filed for release, both reportedly powered by MediaTek’s next-generation Dimensity 9500 chipset. If accurate, this would make the X300 series among the first smartphones to ship with MediaTek’s new flagship processor.
Unlike the X200 generation, which offered three variants — the standard X200, X200 Pro, and X200 Pro Mini — this year’s lineup appears to focus on two models. Vivo is also expected to continue its long-standing collaboration with Zeiss for lens coating technology, a feature that has been a selling point of its recent flagship phones.
Vivo has confirmed that its next series of flagship smartphones will include improved imaging hardware. Reports suggest the X300 Pro could feature a 50MP Sony LYT828 sensor alongside a new 200MP Samsung camera. Both sensors are expected to leverage Vivo’s in-house imaging chips, the V1 and V3 Plus, to enhance image processing.
The brand’s focus on photography aligns with its strategy in the X200 Pro, which was widely regarded as one of the top camera smartphones in its category.
The official launch window is rumored to be October, but Vivo has not issued a formal announcement. The company is expected to reveal further details in the coming weeks.
