Vivo is preparing to introduce its latest V series smartphone, the Vivo V60e 5G, in India later this month. While the company has not confirmed an exact launch date, teasers have started appearing online, highlighting the device’s design, color options, and camera setup. Alongside official previews, multiple leaks have emerged, giving a preliminary look at the upcoming model.
The V60e 5G is expected to succeed the Vivo V50e 5G, offering notable upgrades in display, battery, and camera performance. Analysts and users are already comparing the two models to assess the improvements and whether upgrading makes sense.
The Vivo V60e 5G carries a design reminiscent of the higher-end Vivo V60, featuring a pill-shaped rear camera module and a glossy back panel constructed from plastic. In contrast, the V50e 5G has a different camera layout, resembling its pricier V50 sibling. Both devices, however, maintain IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
In terms of display, the V60e 5G is rumored to sport a 6.77-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness reaching 1800 nits. The V50e 5G, by comparison, features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a similar 120Hz refresh rate but a lower peak brightness of 1300 nits.
Performance-wise, the V60e 5G is expected to retain the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor found in the V50e 5G. Both models may offer 8GB of RAM and storage options up to 256GB. Battery capacity, however, receives a major boost in the V60e 5G, with a 6500mAh unit replacing the V50e 5G’s 5600mAh battery. Both models are likely to support 90W wired fast charging.
Camera upgrades are significant in the V60e 5G. The main sensor jumps to 200MP, paired with an 8MP ultrawide camera. The V50e 5G, in contrast, comes with a 50MP primary lens and the same 8MP ultrawide sensor. Selfie capabilities remain identical on both devices, featuring a 50MP front-facing camera.
Early indications suggest that the Vivo V60e 5G could start at around Rs. 28,749 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The V50e 5G originally launched at Rs. 26,999 for the same configuration, signaling a modest price increase for the newer model.
