Vivo S50, S50 Pro Mini Pre-Orders Open Ahead of Dec 15 Launch Event

Vivo has officially revealed the S50 series and has also confirmed that the Vivo S50 and Vivo S50 Pro Mini smartphones will be available in China. The announcement was made by the company on Weibo, and pre-orders are now available through its official online store.

The launch will take place on December 15 at 7:00 PM local time (4:30 PM IST). The Vivo S50 Pro Mini will be available in three colours—Confession, Inspiration Purple, and Space Gray—while the standard Vivo S50 will be available in four finishes: Confession, Inspiration Purple, Serene Blue, and Space Gray.

Among other things, the Vivo S50 Pro Mini is guaranteed to sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 CPU, combined with a 6.31-inch flat panel. By the way, the phone was reported to have scored over 3 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark. The Pro Mini's storage choices include 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and 16GB+512GB RAM+storage combinations. There are also rumors of LPDDR5X RAM with speeds of up to 9600Mbps and UFS 4.1 storage.

On the other hand, the Vivo S50 will supposedly have the following RAM and storage options: 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and 16GB+512GB. It will be launched with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.95-inch sensor. Both of these phones will probably run on OriginOS 6, which is based on Android 16.

The battery of the S50 Pro Mini is rated at 6,500mAh, which is compatible with 90W wired charging and 40W wireless fast charging. First leaks point to a 6.59-inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution for the standard Vivo S50 along with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. Additionally, a 50-megapixel selfie camera seems to be in store for the gadget.

The Vivo S50 series is the company’s next step by promoting the concept of high-end performance combined with multifunctional camera features. The phones, which are already available for pre-order, are greatly expected to be introduced officially in China.
