Vivo S50 and S50 Pro Mini Specs Leaked Ahead of China Release
Vivo S50 series to feature 6.59" and 6.31" flat displays, triple rear cameras, periscope telephoto, and Dimensity 9400 chip. Launch expected next month.

Vivo has already begun the development of its S-series line-up, consequently, it revealed the S50 and S50 Pro mini, skipping an S40 due to the tetraphobia issue that still exists in China. This comes after the company's introduction of the S30 and S30 Pro mini in May.
Among the leaks, one confirms that the S50 Pro mini will keep the same display size of 6.31 inches as its predecessor. On the other hand, the plain S50 will sport a 6.59-inch screen which is slightly smaller than that of the S30's 6.67-inch panel. Nevertheless, both models are quite likely to come with "1.5K" resolution on their flat screens.
The S50 is said to be coming with a metal frame and a periscope telephoto camera that would be up to par with the best in professional photography. Not much is known about the S50 Pro mini yet, but it is anticipated to have the same top-notch hardware in both its design and camera area.
A report from prior years states the S50 Pro mini will utilize the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. Besides the ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, the device is expected to sport a triple rear camera with periscope telephoto capabilities.
Market analysts foresee the launch of the S50 series in China next month. The smartphones are going to be pitched head-on against the Oppo Reno15 series as well as the Honor 500 series in the mid-range to high-end smartphone market.
