Vivo Launches OriginOS 6 Globally: Smarter, Faster, and More Personalised Than Ever

Vivo has officially launched its next-generation operating system, OriginOS 6, introducing a seamless blend of design innovation, AI integration, and performance upgrades. The company says the new OS delivers a “smarter and more intuitive user experience” through advanced system optimisation and deeper artificial intelligence integration.
Enhanced Performance with Origin Engine
At the heart of OriginOS 6 lies the 8+1 Ultra-Core Computing architecture, powered by Vivo’s new Origin Engine. This system enables smoother collaboration across computing, storage, and display modules for all-around performance improvements.
According to Vivo, app cold-start speeds have improved by 18.5%, while frame-rate stability has risen by 10.5%. The new Memory Fusion technology speeds up data loading by 106%, and Dual Rendering boosts animation performance by 35%, ensuring steady visuals even during heavy multitasking.
The OS also introduces an industry-first Snap-Up Engine, which dynamically allocates computing resources for high-demand tasks like ticket booking and online purchases. App launches are now 16% faster, and touch response times have improved by 41%, resulting in a faster, smoother user experience.
Vivo’s flagship smartphone, the Vivo X300 Pro, running OriginOS 6, has earned SGS certification for sustained smoothness, simulating up to five years of heavy use.
Refined Design and Personalisation
OriginOS 6 brings a major visual overhaul focused on design consistency. It unifies elements such as colour, shape, icons, fonts, and materials, offering a cohesive and modern interface. The new Vivo Sans2 font supports over 40 languages, while adjustable symbol weights improve readability and flexibility across devices.
The OS also enhances personalisation with the Lock Screen Grid, Home Screen Grid, and Flip Cards. A new feature called Origin Island keeps real-time updates—like weather, fitness, and notifications—visible even when switching between apps.
AI-Powered Productivity
Vivo has further integrated Vivo AI into OriginOS 6, introducing smarter tools like:
- Smart Call Assistant – for intuitive call management
- DocMaster – for efficient document handling
- AI Creation – for automatic content generation
- AI Search – for faster information access
Other enhanced features, including Gemini and Circle to Search, expand the system’s ability to understand context and assist users more intelligently.

With Vivo Security, OriginOS 6 prioritises privacy through on-device intelligence, data minimisation, and transparent privacy controls, ensuring user data remains protected at all times.
Global Rollout
Vivo announced that OriginOS 6 will begin rolling out globally in phases starting November 2025, with region-specific timelines to follow.
