Vivo Brings 200MP Camera to Y500 Pro, Official Launch Before Year-End
The Vivo Y500 Pro will debut by end of 2025 with a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 sensor, AMOLED display, and Dimensity 7300 performance boost.

Vivo has confirmed plans to introduce the Y500 Pro later this year, expanding its Y-series portfolio with a major camera enhancement. The development follows the release of the standard Vivo Y500 in China, which debuted earlier this month featuring an 8,200mAh battery.
Han Boxiao, Vivo’s product manager, stated that the Y500 Pro will feature a 200MP primary camera, marking the first time the Y-series will include such a sensor. The device will use Samsung’s ISOCELL HP5, a 1/1.56-inch sensor paired with an f/1.88 aperture lens. The setup is aimed at delivering improved image detail and better performance in low-light conditions compared with the dual 50MP + 2MP configuration found on the Y500.
Further specifications remain undisclosed, but the Y500 Pro is expected to share several features with the base model. The Vivo Y500 runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 chipset, ships with OriginOS 5, and carries an IP69 rating. It also has a 6.77-inch AMOLED display supporting a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Y500 Pro is scheduled for an official unveiling before the close of 2025.
