Tecno Pova Curve 2 Mid-Range Phone Shows Massive 8,000mAh Battery

An upcoming Tecno smartphone has been made known to the world thanks to a new leak, and this time the company is taking a very radical step by not only changing the usual mid-range designs but also improving the screen and battery specs significantly.

In high-definition renders that were leaked by the tipster platform Xpertpick, the device in question, rumored to be the Tecno Pova Curve 2, is exhibiting a very unusual body design for the price category. The phone is flaunting a silver-tone frame, dramatic orange accents, and an unusual triangular rear camera setup that immediately sets it apart from the usual rectangular camera designs. Moreover, a transparent triangular panel can be seen on the lower back of the device, which further contributes to the phone’s unique visual identity.

From the front side, the smartphone is equipped with a display that curves towards the edges on both sides. The major intention behind this design is to give a premium look and feel that is normally associated with high-end models. The display size is said to be 6.78 inches, and it is equipped with an AMOLED panel boasting a 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution, thus placing it among the smoother displays that are expected in the mid-range market for 2026.

According to the leak, the device will be powered by an unannounced MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chip. Memory configurations will be in the range of 8GB to 12GB of RAM, plus internal storage of either 128GB or 256GB. Such specifications indicate that Tecno is after the performance user public but at the same time is not willing to enter the premium price territory.

The battery capacity of the phone is likely to be one of its strongest selling points. The Pova Curve 2 is expected to be equipped with an exceptionally large 8,000mAh battery, along with 45W fast charging support. If it turns out to be true, the smartphone would be placed among the highest-capacity devices in its class showing off to the customers who value long screen time and gaming sessions.

The camera hardware is not impressive but it is at least in the range of mid-range devices. The rear configuration is said to consist of a primary 50-megapixel sensor and a secondary 2-megapixel unit, while the front camera is reported to feature a 13-megapixel sensor for taking selfies and making video calls.

The leak also points out the in-display fingerprint scanner, IR blaster, and Dolby Atmos sound as some of the additional features. Moreover, the device is anticipated to have an IP64 rating, which means that it will be protected to a certain degree from dust and water splashes, but it won't be fully waterproof.

When it comes to software, the Tecno Pova Curve 2 will probably come with HiOS 16 that is built on Android 16. Still, the company has not revealed the schedule for the phone's official launch and also its pricing strategy.
