Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has reported a significant rise in its attrition rate, which reached 12.3% in the July-September quarter of 2024. Despite the higher attrition, the company saw its overall headcount increase by 5,726, bringing the total number of employees to 612,724.
Over the first half of the current fiscal year, TCS added more than 11,000 employees on a net basis. Chief Human Resources Officer Milind Lakkad mentioned that the company is on track with its trainee onboarding plans and has initiated the campus hiring process for FY26. Chief Financial Officer Samir Seksaria highlighted that TCS made strategic investments in talent and infrastructure during this quarter.
As of September 30th, TCS’ workforce was notably diverse, with women constituting 35.5% of the total employees and the staff representing 150 nationalities.
