Vivo has introduced the Vivo X200 FE in India as part of its X200 lineup, offering consumers a more accessible alternative to the standard Vivo X200. Unveiled alongside the Vivo X Fold 5, this new ‘Fan Edition’ model aims to strike a balance between cost and functionality. Here's how it compares with the standard X200 in critical areas.
The Vivo X200 runs on the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip. In comparison, the X200 FE uses the Dimensity 9300+, which delivers competent performance but falls slightly short of top-tier processing power.
While both variants offer 12 GB and 16 GB RAM options, storage speeds vary. The X200 is equipped with faster UFS 4.0 technology, while the X200 FE features UFS 3.1 and caps storage at 512 GB.
Both phones share the same 50 MP Sony IMX921 primary sensor with OIS and a 50 MP Sony IMX882 telephoto lens with 3x zoom. The notable change lies in the ultra-wide lens — the X200 includes a 50 MP JN1, whereas the X200 FE drops to an 8 MP unit.
Selfie cameras differ as well. The FE model features a 50 MP shooter without autofocus, while the X200 opts for a 32 MP sensor with fixed focus.
The X200 sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and brightness peaking at 4,500 nits. The X200 FE features a slightly smaller 6.31-inch AMOLED panel with the same resolution and refresh rate.
In terms of durability and design, both models include IP68 and IP69 ratings and aluminium-glass construction. However, their aesthetics differ — the X200 uses a circular camera housing, while the FE opts for a contrasting dark frame and light back finish.
The Vivo X200 FE is backed by a 6,500 mAh battery, offering more capacity than the 5,800 mAh unit on the X200. Both support 90W wired charging and run on Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15. Security remains consistent, with in-display fingerprint readers on both models.
Pricing in India
* Vivo X200 FE 12 GB + 256 GB: Rs 54,999
* Vivo X200 12 GB + 256 GB: Rs 65,999
* Vivo X200 FE 16 GB + 512 GB: Rs 59,999
* Vivo X200 16 GB + 512 GB: Rs 71,999
For Indian buyers seeking flagship-grade features at a lower cost, the Vivo X200 FE presents an appealing option. While it compromises slightly on storage speed, ultra-wide camera resolution, and lacks wireless charging, it retains much of the premium experience — including strong battery life, capable performance, and top-tier main and telephoto cameras. At a price difference of up to Rs 12,000, the X200 FE could prove to be the more value-driven choice in the current Vivo lineup.
