Should you buy the Google Pixel 6a for Rs 27,999 in India?

This week, Google will host I/O 2023. The Google Pixel Fold, the company's first foldable display smartphone, will be unveiled at the event. A Google Pixel 7a budget smartphone will also be launched at the event. It will be available in India on May 11 as the successor to last year's Pixel 6a. The Pixel 6a smartphone is available at a massive discount in India ahead of its official launch.

Currently, the Google Pixel 6a smartphone is available on Flipkart for Rs 27,999 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. You can purchase the Pixel 6a smartphone at a lower price by taking advantage of the additional discounts that the e-retailer is offering.

As companies inch closer to releasing newer devices, it is not uncommon for them to reduce the pricing of older devices, including the Pixel 6a. It's still a good idea to buy older devices, in this case the Pixel 6a.

A slight upgrade to the specifications is expected for the Pixel 7a, however. There are rumors that the phone will be equipped with a 64MP + 13MP rear camera setup, a 13MP front camera, as well as Google's Tensor T2 processor.

The Pixel 6a was also priced well over 40K at launch last year, just as the Pixel 7a will likely be. In spite of these improvements, Google's image processing algorithm that processes the images on the Pixel 6a won't be significantly changed.

Pixel 6a offers value for money for those looking for an Android phone with good camera performance at a price under 30K. You might as well buy a new smartphone now if you were planning to do so.
