Samsung Wallet Now Lets You Pay Without PIN, UPI Setup at Device Start

Samsung India has rolled out an impressive update to its Samsung Wallet with various features, including the activation of UPI account during new device activation and biometric authentication for payments that requires no PIN. These upgrades will make the Galaxy devices even more smooth for digital transactions.

The enriched Samsung Wallet has now opened the door for users to usher in their Unified Payments Interface (UPI) accounts right at the stage of new Galaxy smartphone setup. This incorporation is like that of a feather in the cap as it ensures that people are well prepared to make their payments the moment their device is activated, besides it makes the process very simple and also encouraging faster adoption of UPI by Samsung devices.

Samsung Wallet, apart from onboarding, now offers biometric verification for UPI payments too. Users have the option to complete transactions through fingerprint or face recognition, thus freeing them from the hassle of entering a PIN for each transaction. This strategy is a good blend of convenience and security, thereby allowing faster and safer transactions.

Moreover, the platform has further increased its Tap & Pay capabilities. Samsung Wallet has officially welcomed Forex cards as part of its payment options through WSFx Global Pay Limited, hence, facilitating international contactless transactions. Along with this, AU Bank cards have also been added to the list, thereby widening the spectrum of supported payment methods.

For online trading, Samsung Wallet gives the option of direct payments through the use of stored, tokenised credit and debit cards. Users are no longer required to type in card details during the checkout process which consequently makes payments easier for the online stores that are frequently used by customers.
