Samsung to Launch Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Watch 8 on July 9

Samsung is preparing to showcase its newest tech lineup at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event on July 9. Leaks shared by Roland Quandt via WinFuture suggest three major smartphone announcements: the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and a budget-friendly Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.

The upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 is rumored to come with significant changes, including reduced thickness and weight. Leaked specs indicate a 4.2mm profile when unfolded and 8.9mm when closed. At 216 grams, it could be the lightest book-style foldable yet.

Display sizes are expected to increase slightly, with a 6.5-inch outer screen and an 8-inch main display. Samsung may retain a 4,400mAh battery and include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Storage options could range from 256GB to 1TB depending on region. A 200MP primary camera is reportedly included, though further camera specs remain undisclosed. Launch colors include black, silver, and blue.

The Z Flip 7 is expected to feature a new 4.1-inch external screen that wraps around its dual-camera layout. Battery capacity is said to increase to 4,300mAh. The phone may offer 256GB and 512GB variants, and include a 50MP main sensor. It is likely to arrive in the same color options as the Fold 7.

A new Fan Edition model is also anticipated. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE may include toned-down specifications such as 128GB or 256GB storage and a 4,000mAh battery. Despite its price positioning, it could retain the Flip 7’s wraparound cover screen, differing from earlier leaks that suggested recycled hardware. Black and white variants are expected.

Quandt also revealed promotional renders of Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic. Both models appear to adopt a squircle design first seen in the Watch Ultra, indicating a unified design strategy across the wearables range.
