Samsung Rolls Out OneUI 8.5 Beta in India: Full List of Compatible Devices and Key New Features
Samsung releases OneUI 8.5 beta in India with enhanced privacy, improved photo editing, cross-device connectivity and advanced theft protection features.
Samsung OneUI 8.5 beta introduces new privacy tools, upgraded Photo Assist and enhanced cross-device features for Galaxy S25 users.
Samsung has made a formal announcement regarding the OneUI 8.5 beta program in India, which is a part of its ongoing strategy to enhance user privacy, connectivity and productivity through a number of upgrades. The beta update which was limited to a few global markets previously such as Germany, the UK, the US, South Korea and Poland is now open for Indian users who meet the requirements.
Samsung OneUI 8.5 Key Features
The OneUI 8.5 beta comes with several interesting features that not only upgrade the existing ones but also improve the overall smartphone experience:
● Enhanced Photo Assist
With the new Photo Assist feature, users do not have to save every step manually while making edits; they can make continuous edits. Users can see their whole editing history and pick the best version of the photo, thus the new feature supports efficient photographers as well as casual photo editors.
● Cross-Device Connectivity Improvements
With OneUI 8.5 Samsung has added new ways for devices to communicate with each other. New Audio Broadcast feature which is based on LE Audio and Auracast technology allows the nearby Galaxy devices to share audio more effectively.
Storage Share is another newly introduced feature that enables users to easily access files that are currently saved on their other Galaxy devices including tablets and PCs through the My Files app.
● Advanced Theft Protection
With OneUI 8.5, Samsung has taken security to the next level by combining existing features such as Theft Protection and Failed Authentication Lock into a new tool that protects unauthorized access and loss of data in the unfortunate event of a device being misplaced or stolen. These functionalities increase the privacy and control of users even more.

Galaxy S25 Plus
Galaxy S25 Ultra
The Galaxy S25 FE and the Galaxy S25 Edge models have been confirmed by the company to be excluded from this beta release. The users possessing the supported devices can grab the beta version through the Samsung Members app
