Samsung has officially outlined the rollout schedule for its Android 16-based One UI 8 update for Indian users, following the global launch for the Galaxy S25 series. The announcement came through the Samsung Members app, detailing which models will receive the latest software and when.
The first wave of updates, scheduled for September, covers the flagship Galaxy S25 lineup including the S25, S25+, S25 Edge, and S25 Ultra. A select batch of devices, including the Galaxy A25 5G, Galaxy F05, and Galaxy M05, are slated to receive the update in November.

One UI 8 Features:
Samsung’s One UI 8 integrates Google Gemini for a context-aware AI experience, allowing tasks to be performed automatically based on user behavior. The AI now offers suggestions, reminders, and shortcuts aligned with daily routines. Popular features introduced with the Galaxy S25 series, such as Generative Edits and Chat Assist, are being extended to older Samsung devices.
Additionally, the Now Bar and Now Brief have been enhanced to support live notifications from a wider range of apps. One UI 8 introduces an improved split-screen mode, similar to OnePlus’s Open Canvas, which allows apps to be partially minimized at the screen edge, freeing up space for primary apps and optimizing multitasking.
The update aims to unify Samsung’s device ecosystem under a single, AI-driven interface while extending advanced features previously limited to flagship models. Users are encouraged to check the Samsung Members app for device-specific timelines and instructions for updating.
