Samsung Launches One UI 8 for Galaxy M55 Series – Check Update Size & Details
Android 16 One UI 8 is now live for Samsung Galaxy M55 & M55s in India. Install update to get improved performance, security patch, and new features.

Samsung has started the stable update of One UI 8, which is based on Android 16, for its Galaxy M55 and Galaxy M55s devices in India. The update brings the latest Android features along with the security enhancements.
The update for the Galaxy M55 comes with the firmware version M556BXXU4CYJ4 and needs a download of more than 2.6GB. On the other hand, the Galaxy M55s's firmware is M558BXXU2CYJ4, and the update comes with a file size of just over 2.5GB. The device security is boosted for both phones as they receive the October 2025 Android security patch with the updates.
Not only this but also the One UI 8 update for both models gives the users a new and better working interface. Users can go through the notification check and if no update is shown then they can go to Settings > Software update to do a manual check of the update on their devices.
At present, the Galaxy M55 comes in different configurations: its 256GB variant with 8GB RAM is priced at Rs 21,589 ($309.99), whereas the 128GB with 8GB RAM is priced at Rs 20,990 (€269.99). Prices of other variants can be confirmed from Samsung’s official channels.
