Samsung Electronics seems to be preparing for a 2026 launch of its Galaxy S26 series very early on, as the new internal software disclosures take an insight into the design and features of the Android smartphones. The current Android software version 8.5, which is being used for Samsung's One UI, is the one that finds these features hidden in it through visual and textual analysis.

Devotees of One UI 8.5 were able to uncover plenty of images that represented the Galaxy S26 series. They found two different sets of renders: one of the devices with the codenamed M1 and M2, which are for the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus, and one of the device with the M3 codename, which is for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

In the case of the S26 and S26 Plus, their capture shows a triple-lens camera unit with vertical stacking enclosed in a rectangular camera module. At the same time, the Galaxy S26 Ultra render points to three main rear cameras positioned vertically, plus two extra sensors near the primary camera unit. These are also in close agreement with the earlier leaks from the industry insider; Steve ‘OnLeaks’ Hemmerstoffer.

Apart from the visual indicators, the One UI 8.5 software has also mentioned “Super Fast Wireless Charging” and “Super Fast Charging 3.0”, revealing that Samsung might roll out better wired and wireless charging options for the new gadgets. However, the experts also warn that such revelations through software disintegration might entail gradual features that might not make it to the final product.

Though Samsung has not yet officially disclosed the dates of release or pricing for the Galaxy S26 series, the analysts predict that the new phones will have hardware that is better than the S25 series in terms of updated processors, enhanced cameras, and upgraded display technology.

The design previews of the S26 have already sparked a discussion among consumers and tech enthusiasts alike. A recent survey showed that 29% of the participants were fond of the design, while 54% considered it mediocre, and 17% were unhappy with the look.

According to experts in the industry, data extraction via software and APK teardown has been a reliable source of early insights, thus, allowing consumers to predict the features and design changes even months before they are officially introduced.

The Galaxy S26 series by Samsung is anticipated to be on par with the leaders in the market like Apple and Google. However, the company will still be offering only minor changes and enhancements in the arenas of software, cameras, and battery technology. Samsung might announce officially more details around the time of the expected launch, which is in early 2026.
