The Galaxy S26, Samsung's forthcoming flagship is likely to unveil around 2026, and the latest leaks suggest that it would be a revolutionary phone with many new features in terms of design and hardware.

The reliable leaker @UniverseIce has divulged information that the Galaxy S26 might sport a very slim 6.9 mm body, which is 0.2mm lower than the Galaxy S25. His disclosure claims that there is a design illustration depicting a three-camera system of a vertical and oval shape, resembling the Galaxy Z Fold 7 series.

A magnetic ring on the rear panel seems to be a noteworthy feature, which indicates full-fledged support for Qi2 wireless charging. If this is the case, then the S26 will be the first Samsung phone to have complete Qi2 integration while the earlier ones only provided “Qi2 Ready” support necessitating compatible cases.

Samsung is presumed to stick with its plain three-model policy: Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, instead of developing Pro or Edge variants as rumored before. This aligns with the standard process that the company has been following for flagship releases.

The leaks assert that the Galaxy S26 will come with a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display boasting a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits. Ultrasound fingerprint scanner under the display will likely be the biometric security feature.

The camera might consist of a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 10MP telephoto lens. The smartphone would be powered by Samsung’s 2nm process Exynos 2600 processor while the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 might be available in some regions.

The device may come equipped with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It will be running One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 which will bring not only interface improvements but also AI-enhanced features.

It is more or less expected that the above-mentioned connectivity options will be 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, GPS, and a USB 3.2 Type-C port. The S26 is likely to keep an IP68 rating which means there is water and dust resistance.

A battery with a capacity of around 4,300mAh is in the specs' list along with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging support, thus maybe prolonging a bit the previous generation's battery life.

The Galaxy S26 looks like it is going to be a small, performance-driven flagship phone with subtle but significant upgrades mainly in the areas of design and wireless charging. Samsung followers can probably look forward to the official announcement in early 2026.
