Oppo is gearing up to unveil the Reno 14 series in India on July 3. The company confirmed that both the standard and Pro models will be launched at a virtual event scheduled for 12 PM IST. The live unveiling will be streamed across Oppo’s official social media platforms and microsite.
As competition heats up in the mid-range smartphone market, Oppo is introducing its Reno 14 lineup equipped with performance-optimized hardware and AI-focused features. The Reno 14 Pro is expected to arrive with a substantial 6200mAh battery, backed by 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The Indian variant mirrors many of the features seen in its Chinese counterpart. The Reno 14 Pro 5G will sport a quad-camera array comprising a 50MP OV50E 1.55-inch primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP OV50D sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera will be a 5MP JN5 sensor with autofocus.
The base model, on the other hand, includes a triple-camera configuration: a 50MP Sony IMX883 sensor (19.5-inch pixel size, OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto sensor. Both devices support advanced AI tools such as AI Editor 2.0, AI Voice Enhancer, AI Recompose, AI Style Transfer, AI Live Photo 2.0, and AI Perfect Shot.
Under the hood, the Reno 14 series will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset. The Pro variant’s 6200mAh battery supports rapid charging. While official Indian prices are yet to be announced, leaks suggest that pricing may match the Chinese models. In China, the Reno 14 5G with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage is priced at CNY 2,799 (approx. Rs 33,200), while the Pro version with identical storage is tagged at CNY 3,499 (approx. Rs 41,500).
The Reno 14 series will first be introduced globally on July 1 at 6 PM, followed by its Indian launch two days later.
Buyers in the Rs 30,000–40,000 range have several strong alternatives. Competing models include:
* Vivo iQOO Neo 10 and Xiaomi 14, both with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipsets.
* OnePlus Nord 4 and Realme GT 6T, powered by Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3.
* Xiaomi Poco F7 and Nothing 3a Pro, offering competitive specs at similar price points.
Storage options across competitors vary from 128GB/8GB RAM to 512GB/16GB RAM. Most come with 50MP primary cameras and feature fast charging ranging from 50W to 120W, and batteries ranging from 4700mAh to 7550mAh.
