Reliance Digital subtly slashed the price of the iPhone 16 Pro to Rs 1,09,900, which is lesser than the launch price of Rs 1,19,900, thus making it cheaper by Rs 10,000. The price cut has made the smaller Pro model by a significant margin more attractive when compared to the 16 Pro Max, which is still priced above Rs 1.35 lakh. As of now, this reduction is not reflected by either Amazon or Flipkart, thus making the offer exclusive to Reliance Digital.

Market experts believe that even though the price reduction is considerable, still the buyers should weigh both the pros and cons of the iPhone 16 Pro and then decide on the purchase.

Main Benefits of iPhone 16 Pro

1. Performance on par with Pro Max

The iPhone 16 Pro finally holds the same performance level as the 16 Pro Max along with all the features carried by the A18 Pro chip, the 5x periscope zoom lens, and the upgraded ultrawide camera. The key differences are still in the size of the screen and battery. The users will be able to enjoy the same camera functionality and power of processing while at the same time saving about Rs 25,000.

2. A Little Bigger Battery

The phone is powered by a 3,582mAh cell that is around 10% larger than the one in the iPhone 15 Pro. Such an increase in battery provides users with much longer daily usage and even basic users can use the phone for almost a whole day on one charge.

3. Camera Feature Updates

Apple's newest addition to the lineup has a powerful 48-megapixel ultrawide sensor plus a 5x telephoto zoom lens. The Camera Control half-press function assists in getting perfect focus and exposure while video shooting modes like 4K 120fps slow motion, Dolby Vision at different frame rates, ProRes, Action Mode, and Fusion capture mode are all added to the actor's already high multimedia performance. The four-microphone system and stabilized sensors are put in place to ensure a good audio-video output.

4. Display Adjustments for Comfort

The size of the screen of the 16 Pro has been increased from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches while keeping the overall size of the device unchanged. The display is capable of dimming to 1 nit for comfortable viewing at night while at the same time preserving HDR quality for movie playback. All these alterations make it easier to watch movies and scenarios like dark environments.

5. Improved Durability

The Ceramic Shield has been strengthened by Apple on the 16 Pro. First impressions suggest that there are fewer micro-scratches than on the former model. The titanium shell and IP68 water resistance are still there, providing durability for daily use in the long run.

Limitations to Consider

1. Charging Speed Remains Slow

The device still takes more time to charge than its rivals even though Apple promises “50% charge in 30 minutes” with a 20W charger. The wireless charging during MagSafe and Qi2 is now limited to 25W and 15W respectively, which also makes the device slower than Samsung's and Chinese brands' flagship devices.

2. AI Features Not Fully Matured

Apple’s artificial intelligence-powered features, which include Siri upgrades and content curation tools, are still in their rollout phase. Though there is a likelihood of some significant improvements in 2027, the current AI is still considered inferior when compared to Google’s Pixel and Samsung’s Galaxy devices.

Conclusion: Is the Reliance Digital Offer Worth Considering?

The cut down from Rs 10,000 makes the iPhone 16 Pro an attractive option for those desiring premium hardware in a compact size. The integration of amazing cameras, performance upgrades, display improvements, and durability makes it one of the most well-rounded flagship options in 2025. However, battery charging speed and AI, in particular, are two areas where some users might still feel the device is lacking.
