Redmi Pad 2 Pro Users Wait: HyperOS 3 Update Coming Next Month

Xiaomi has resumed its software rollout, bringing the latest HyperOS updates to a new set of devices worldwide. Following a pause during China’s National Day Golden Week holiday, the company has begun delivering HyperOS 3.0.17.0.WPCCNXM to devices like the Xiaomi 17 in China.

While the Xiaomi 17 launched with HyperOS 3 pre-installed, other devices are catching up. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro, which entered the market last month running HyperOS 2, remains on the previous version for now. Xiaomi plans to release HyperOS 3 for the Pad 2 Pro in the coming month, keeping users on HyperOS 2 temporarily.

In addition, the Redmi 13 and Poco M6 are receiving fresh updates under HyperOS 2. Both devices are expected to transition to HyperOS 3 during Xiaomi’s second update phase, mirroring the schedule for the Pad 2 Pro. At present, over 20 Xiaomi models will not receive the HyperOS 3 upgrade, as outlined in earlier reports.

The latest software update is part of Xiaomi’s broader strategy to enhance device performance and user experience across its ecosystem. Users can check update availability through the device’s system settings.

Xiaomi’s staggered rollout ensures device stability and optimizes server load, a common approach among global smartphone manufacturers. Early adopters of HyperOS 3 on the Xiaomi 17 have reported smoother performance and improved system efficiency compared to HyperOS 2.
