Realme is set to introduce a new smartphone equipped with a periscope camera on the global stage. The company, through X (formerly known as Twitter), has unveiled a teaser poster providing a glimpse of the rear design. The teaser suggests a triple rear camera setup housed within a distinctive circular island. Although specific details about the device remain undisclosed, speculation points toward it being the Realme GT 5 Pro.

The teaser hints at the smartphone's periscope zoom camera capabilities, touting enhanced optical zoom capabilities with the tagline, "Not only max can zoom." The teaser showcases two different camera rings and a rectangular unit, all contained within a sizable circular camera island.

The rumored Realme GT 5 Pro is expected to feature a primary sensor of unspecified specifications, possibly a Sony IMX9 1/1.4x sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). Additionally, it may incorporate a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom.

The Realme GT 5 Pro has been the subject of numerous leaks, revealing some key specifications. It is rumored to boast a curved 2K display and house the unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC under the hood, accompanied by up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.

The phone will join the Realme GT 5, previously launched in China, which offers configurations with up to 24GB of RAM and comes in different charging variants, featuring either a 4,600mAh battery with 240W wired fast charging or a 5,240mAh battery with 150W fast charging. The Realme GT 5 sports a 6.74-inch full-HD+ display.

Realme's upcoming smartphone remains the topic of speculation and anticipation, especially with its intriguing periscope camera technology.
