Realme is rolling out its GT 8 and GT 8 Pro devices on Tuesday. The launch event at Indian time 12:30 PM and will be streamed live on Realme's official website and Weibo account. Audience can know about specs, prices, and new features at the event.
In China, the Realme GT 8 Pro, which is set to be the first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 phone in India, is predicted to be priced about Rs 55,550, while the Realme GT 8 may have a price range of CNY 3,000-3,500. The Indian price for the GT 8 Pro with 1TB storage is likely to be Rs 60,000. The device comes equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and 24GB RAM. Gaming and visual performances are enhanced by a dedicated R1 graphics chip. Moreover, the phone is rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance.
The phone's battery has a capacity of 7,000mAh with support for 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. It uses bypass charging technology to prevent overheating during prolonged usage. The smartphone has a 6.78-inch flat OLED display, 2K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor. The operating system is based on Android 16 with Realme UI 7.
The camcorder setup gets a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 200MP telephoto sensor utilizing Samsung's HP5 module, which is Ricoh-certified. The camera can capture videos having a maximum resolution of 4K at 120 fps and supporting Dolby Vision. A modular camera design that allows users to interchange square, round, or robot-style layouts gives them freedom in choosing the configuration that suits them best. The GT 8 Pro is only 8.2mm thick.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite along with R1 gaming chip is the main power source of the standard GT 8. The photography department consists of a 50MP Sony LYT700 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with a 3.5x zoom. The 16MP front camera captures selfies. The battery has the same capacity as the Pro version which is 7,000mAh, and it also supports 120W fast charging. Among the features are an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, NFC, and IP68/69 ratings.
