Realme is set to launch its Realme 16 Pro Plus on January 6 in India. In a shared announcement, the company has revealed important details about the phone concerning its aesthetics, operation, camera, power, and software.
It is thought that the smartphone will come with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, that is, offering midrange performance for gaming and multitasking. Realme has also mentioned the presence of a triple camera setup, with the 200-megapixel periscope lens being the star of the show. Nothing has been revealed yet about the main and third lenses. However, the camera is reportedly going to be suitable for portrait photography at various focal lengths namely, 1x, 3.5x, and 10x zoom.
The battery life is likely to be phenomenal, featuring a 7,000mAh battery and assistance for fast charging at 80W. The company might resort to its silicon-carbon battery technology, which was used in older models, to provide even more durability and longevity. Realme claims that a new Luma color algorithm will contribute to improving the quality of photos.
As for the display, the 16 Pro plus is equipped with a curved screen that goes up to 6,500 nits of brightness, supports Netflix HDR, and provides an astounding 2,500Hz touch sampling rate, thus making it outdoor user-friendly and also gaming responsive.
To choose from are the colors Camellia Pink, Master Grey, and Master Gold, featuring a flat back and curved edges. The camera module is reminiscent of the previous Realme GT 8 Pro but has a different layout, less branding, and more minimalism.
The durability of the phone has been the focus of Realme's promises, asserting that it meets the IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K categories for dust and water resistance and can endure temperatures as high as 80°C.
The OS will be Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16, which will be supplied with a three-year OS upgrades and four-year security updates guarantee.
It is anticipated that the phone will have the pricing and storage options that will be competitive, and the phone is said to feature as much as 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
