Realme is definitely going to usher in the year 2025 with its latest smartphones, and the reports from the industry suggest that the Realme 16 Pro series will be launching in India on January 6. A report received by Mint indicates that the company is planning to launch two models — Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro Plus — although there has been no official announcement from the brand yet.
This is a significant move as Realme said at the Realme 15 series launch that it would simplify the portfolio and eliminate the Pro Plus option. Rumors about the 16 Pro family have already changed that strategy, and we see a Plus variant again in the leaks.
The Realme 16 Pro is likely to have a base variant of 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which would set the series’ minimum. The additional options, on the other hand, could go up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, thus giving the series four memory configurations for the Indian market.
The colour selections are likely to be different from the previous generation, with leaks hinting at grey, gold and purple colours for the 16 Pro.
The 6.78-inch OLED display may feature 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. First, the dimensions are estimated around 7.75mm thick and approximately 192g heavy.
Realme seems to be planning a radical shift in terms of the camera. It is reported that the 16 Pro will be equipped with a 200MP main sensor and a secondary camera of 8MP, thereby replacing the previous 50MP dual setup used in the 15 Pro. A 50MP camera is anticipated at the front.
The Realme 16 Pro Plus is likely to possess a similar core configuration but with the addition of a telephoto lens which would be a feature not offered in the standard model.

The weight is about 192g.
The rear camera configuration consists of a 200MP primary sensor and an 8MP secondary lens.
