Realme is going to reveal its state-of-the-art mobile series, Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+ 5G, in India next week. The launch event is fixed for January 6, 2026, at 12 PM IST. The company will broadcast the event live on its official YouTube channel and social media platforms. After the launch, the phones will be sold via Flipkart, Realme’s website, and physical stores.
This new collection is a design partnership with Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa which brings new aesthetics to the Realme 16 Pro series and makes the whole series very attractive. The two models are said to have performance, display, battery, and camera, among others, all greatly improved.
Realme 16 Pro+ is likely to be equipped with a large 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate which should give very smooth visuals. The device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip along with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. It is very likely that the phone will have a massive 7,000mAh battery plus fast charging capability. The camera setup may consist of a 200MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. Selfies and video calls will be taken care of by a 50MP front camera.
Realme 16 Pro is likely to feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is said to be equipped with either Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 or MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. The battery will be the same as in the Pro+ model, which is 7,000mAh, with 80W fast charging support. The camera setup might include a 200MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP front shooter.
According to industry sources, the Realme 16 Pro is likely to be priced at around Rs 30,000 in India, whereas the Realme 16 Pro+ is expected to be in the price range of Rs 35,000-Rs 38,000. The smartphones are aimed at the mid-to-high end of the Indian smartphone market and their main attractions are large batteries and high-resolution cameras.
The Realme 16 Pro series is already the talk of the town before its formal introduction, with design changes and hardware upgrades being the main points of the early leaks.
