Realme has officially introduced its latest mid-range smartphone, the Realme 15 Pro 5G, in the Indian market. Although the pricing remains undisclosed at launch, industry estimates place it near the Rs 35,000 mark. Positioned in a competitive segment, the device will go head-to-head with Vivo’s V50 5G model.

A comprehensive comparison highlights how the two smartphones stack up in terms of design, display, camera, performance, and battery.

The Realme 15 Pro 5G incorporates a square camera island housing a dual-lens setup. The device measures 7.69mm in thickness and weighs 187g. It carries an IP69 rating for protection against dust and water ingress.

Vivo V50 5G features a vertically oriented camera module integrated into a pill-shaped bar, including a circular camera and Aura light. Slightly thicker at 7.7mm and marginally heavier at 189g, it offers both IP68 and IP69 certifications.

Realme’s 15 Pro 5G introduces a 6.8-inch curved display with a HyperGlow 4D design. The screen delivers a 144Hz refresh rate and peaks at 6500 nits brightness.

Vivo’s V50 5G sports a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen. The display refreshes at 120Hz and achieves 4500 nits in peak brightness.

Realme equips the 15 Pro 5G with a dual rear camera setup: a 50MP main sensor (Sony IMX896) and a 50MP ultrawide lens. The front camera also uses a 50MP sensor. Software enhancements include AI Party Mode, AI Magic Glow 2.0, and AI Edit Genie.

Vivo’s V50 5G mirrors the 50MP + 50MP configuration but integrates ZEISS optics. The front-facing camera also carries a 50MP sensor. It supports ZEISS Multifocal Portrait, Wedding Studio, and AI Studio Light Portrait 2.0.

Realme’s device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, likely to ship with configurations offering up to 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.

Vivo’s V50 5G runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 platform, also supporting up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.

Realme integrates a 7000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. In contrast, Vivo provides a 6000mAh cell that supports 90W charging.

With comparable specifications and pricing, both Realme 15 Pro 5G and Vivo V50 5G appeal to photography enthusiasts and performance seekers. Realme focuses on battery size and higher brightness, while Vivo emphasizes camera tuning and faster charging.

A decision between the two may rest on brand preference and specific feature needs.
