Poco F8 Ultra & F8 Pro Launch: India Could Get Them Soon
Poco F8 Ultra and F8 Pro launched with Snapdragon 8 Elite, HyperOS 3, Bose speakers, 50MP cameras, and large batteries. India launch expected soon.

This week, Poco has made an official announcement of its new F-series smartphones, namely, the Poco F8 Ultra and F8 Pro. There are speculations that one or both of the devices will be launching in India soon. Both the smartphones are equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite processors, with the Ultra variant getting the latest iteration of the chip.
The Poco F8 Ultra makes a statement with its distinct denim finish, accompanied by a triple-camera setup that includes a 50MP wide-angle sensor with a telephoto lens and ultra-wide lens. The audio experience has received a boost courtesy of the Bose speakers in a 2.1 stereo configuration. The handset comes with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3, which is based on Android 16.
The starting price tag of the F8 Ultra is $729 (approx. Rs 64,900) for the RAM + storage model with 12GB + 256GB, while the most expensive variant with 16GB + 512GB goes for $799 (about Rs 68,100). The price of the F8 Pro is $579 (Rs 52,100) for the version with 12GB + 256GB, and the 12GB + 512GB is sold for $629 (Rs 56,100).
In terms of display, the F8 Ultra is equipped with a large 6.9-inch OLED screen that can refresh at a rate of 120Hz, while F8 Pro is endowed with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display that also allows for 120Hz refresh rate. The specifications of both the devices include up to 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. Ultra is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset while Pro takes last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite one.
The 32MP front camera is mounted on the F8 Ultra, whereas the 20MP selfie shooter is offered by the F8 Pro. The Ultra is endowed with a 6,500mAh battery along with fast charging support of 100W wired and 50W wireless. The F8 Pro has a 6,210mAh cell and is equipped for both wired charging at 100W and reverse charging at 22.5W.
With the HyperOS 3 operating system, which is based on Android 16, both of the smartphones will get four major OS updates and six years of security patches, which means that the software support is going to be very long-lasting.
