Poco has publicized the global introduction of its next F8 series smartphones by means of an announcement for November 26. The ceremony will take place in Bali, Indonesia, and will present the Poco F8 Pro and the Poco F8 Ultra, two models. It is the first time the Xiaomi sub-brand has formally shared specific information about the next-generation devices.
Poco Global’s official X (formerly Twitter) account provided the announcement, confirming the event time of 4 PM local time in Bali, or 1:30 PM IST. The post emphasized the performance aspect of the new series as a major feature but did not give any other specifications.
Various earlier leaks, and certifications as well, have indicated what the hardware might be like. A product with model number “2510DPC44G,” which is thought to be the Poco F8 Pro, has already been seen on Geekbench. As per the benchmark it is likely to have the ARMv8 architecture along with performance cores going up to 4.61GHz, which means that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset could be the one supplying power.
Abhishek Yadav, a tipster, has also disseminated knowledge concerning the chipsets of the series. Yadav states that the Poco F8 Pro will come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite while the Poco F8 Ultra is likely to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.
A retail box image of the Poco F8 Pro appeared on the internet earlier this month. It featured a collaboration with Bose in respect to the sound quality. Social media hints from Poco corroborate this by mentioning a brand whose name starts with “B.” A similar partnership was present in the case of the company’s recent Redmi K90 series, hence the rumor that the F8 series might be sharing design and features with the China-exclusive models has gained ground.
It is being reported that the Poco F8 series may be released with no charger in the box, thus carrying on Xiaomi's recent policy of omitting chargers from its packages. To give some perspective, the previous year’s Poco F7 Pro was sent along with a 90W charger.
