POCO appears ready to introduce its next smartphone in India under the F-series lineup. The POCO F7 has surfaced on Flipkart, revealing several details prior to the company’s official announcement.
The upcoming POCO F7 is expected to come equipped with a 7,550mAh battery. If accurate, this would make it the largest battery capacity among smartphones available in India so far. The listing notes that the battery could last up to 2.18 days on a single charge under average usage, made possible by silicon-carbon cell technology. It will also support 90W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging for other electronic devices.
For context, this battery outpaces competitors like the iQOO Z10 and Vivo T4, each of which feature 7,300mAh batteries. If launched ahead of similar models, the POCO F7 could hold the title of the biggest battery phone currently available in the market.
Details around device thickness and build remain under wraps, though the unusually large battery raises questions about the device's form factor and ergonomics.
A listing on Geekbench previously suggested the POCO F7 may be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, alongside 12GB RAM. The 8s Gen 4 uses a high-performance core configuration with one Cortex-X4 and seven Cortex-A720 cores, emphasizing multi-core output. However, the absence of efficiency cores could impact power consumption. In the sub-Rs 30,000 segment, this could translate into flagship-tier performance.
Unconfirmed reports also indicate that the POCO F7 could be a renamed version of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro from China. If accurate, it would feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display, a 1.5K resolution panel, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additional specifications could include an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, up to 16GB RAM, and 1TB internal storage.
Camera specifications may include a 50MP primary rear sensor paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, while the front camera is likely to be 20MP.
Pricing is expected to remain aggressive. POCO’s F-series smartphones have traditionally been priced under Rs 30,000. The F6 and F5 debuted at Rs 29,999, while the F4 launched at Rs 27,999. The F7 is also projected to launch within the same price band, maintaining competition with brands such as OnePlus and iQOO.
