Poco has officially launched its latest F-series device, the Poco F7, in India. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor and is backed by a massive 7,550mAh battery, making it one of the most performance-focused and power-efficient devices in its price segment.

After separating from Xiaomi in 2018, Poco gained rapid traction in the Indian market with the Poco F1. That initial success created a lasting legacy, and expectations have followed every release since. The F7 is the latest step in Poco’s attempt to deliver flagship-level specs at accessible prices.

The Poco F7 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, delivering flagship-grade processing capabilities, with a configuration of 1x Cortex-X4 core at 3.21GHz and 7x Cortex-A720 cores. While not as fast as Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Elite variants, it offers substantial performance improvements over the previous generation.

Accompanying the chip is up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. The device supports high-performance tasks, including gaming and multitasking, without compromise.

A notable highlight is its 7,550mAh battery, the largest in any smartphone launched in India to date. It supports 90W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging. The battery ensures extended usage and turns the phone into a power source for other devices.

The Poco F7 features a premium design with a metal frame and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. It carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The smartphone includes a 6.83-inch p-OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and Dolby Vision support, peaking at 3,200 nits brightness.

The larger display and increased brightness significantly improve content viewing. However, the display does not feature LTPO technology, limiting dynamic refresh rate adjustment.

The Poco F7 maintains the same camera setup as its predecessor. It has a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with an f/1.5 aperture and optical image stabilization. The secondary 8MP ultrawide camera and 20MP front-facing sensor provide standard imaging support but don’t offer significant upgrades.

The main camera delivers good detail and dynamic range in favorable conditions but lacks the flexibility of a more comprehensive setup. The lack of a telephoto or improved ultrawide option could impact photography enthusiasts.

The smartphone runs Hyper OS 2.0 based on Android 15. Poco has committed to four years of major Android upgrades and six years of security patches. While some pre-installed apps exist, the interface remains clean and functional. AI features such as writing tools and real-time translation are integrated for added convenience.

The Poco F7 is priced at Rs 31,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant and Rs 33,999 for the 12GB + 512GB version. It directly competes with iQOO Neo 10 and other mid-range flagship models.

The Poco F7 marks a strong return to form for the brand, delivering competitive performance, extended battery life, and modern design at an attractive price point. Despite the average camera performance, its value proposition across core metrics like power, display, and software support makes it one of the most compelling options in its class.
