The upcoming Google smartwatch, the Pixel Watch 4, is probably going to be one of the top 2025 wearable releases in terms of consumer interest. There are no official announcements yet, but leaks suggest huge improvements already in the areas of display, performance, and Google services integration. The product is said to have a very wide target market with its light weight and attractive design that fits in with both everyday use and active lifestyle.
The leaked specs predict that the Pixel Watch 4 will come with a casing 45mm in size made of recycled aluminum and weighing 36.7g. The super light structure will go along with a fluoroelastomer strap whose size you can choose according to your wrist for the best fit. The watch will be protected against dust and water to certain extents with IP68 and 5ATM ratings, respectively, and, to prolong its lifetime, the manufacturer will use 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which makes it scratching and breaking resistant and therefore apt for following workouts, splashes, and everyday use.
The smartwatch will come with the 1.4-inch LTPO AMOLED Actua 360 display with a 456 x 456 resolution at 320ppi. One rumor suggests that the maximum brightness might go up to 3000 nits—and thus, no matter how hot it is, you will always be able to tell what’s on the screen. Besides, the 60Hz mining coupled with Always-On Display is said to be the reason behind the interface being more fluid and responsive.
Perhaps the Pixal Watch 4 will be the first to run the Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 chip and the latest Cortex-M55 co-processor that will boost its battery life. The software will use the new Wear OS version 6.0 which is supposed to offer fast application start-up, smooth transition of apps, and memory-efficient management. The smartwatch is likely to have 2GB of RAM and 32GB for storage, which is more than enough for apps, music, and fitness tracking all at the same time without lags.
The fitness smartwatch seems to feature more than 40 different modes of workouts ranging from yoga to running. All these activities are recorded and monitored through a complete set of sensors namely heart rate, SpO2, body temperature, sleep tracking, and ECG. All this would be under a remarkable feature called cEDA technology, which is specifically intended to catch any changes in the body related to stress. It also comes with a pedometer, an accelerometer, a magnetometer, and a barometer thus, becoming an all-purpose fitness partner.
Leaks suggest that the 455mAh battery can go as far as 1.67 days with only one charge. Quick-charging is said to be a method that gives an instant power boost while the final version of the retail product might allow the use of wireless charging too.
The coming Pixel Watch 4 is probably going to have Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, and Bluetooth calling among its connectivity options. Google's voice assistant Gemini is likely to be a hands-free control for the whole process of sending messages, app navigation, and reminders. The users may also take care of notifications, alarms, music, and emails from the wrist directly.
If the whispers are true, then the Google Pixel Watch 4 would not only bring forth new features but also set a new limit for smartwatches in 2025. It is all set to be a well-rounded gadget that can cater to fitness, productivity, and everyday use—thanks to a sleek frame, upgraded display, advanced sensors, and intelligent software—thus, getting its place amongst the best wearables.
