Google has launched the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL, completing its 10th-generation smartphone lineup ahead of its foldable release in India later this month. The new devices are built around the Tensor G5 processor, which addresses thermal performance concerns from the previous generation while powering deeper integration of artificial intelligence features across Android.
The Pixel 10 Pro series introduces improvements in camera capabilities, AI processing, and performance efficiency while retaining the design language of its predecessors. Both models leverage on-device AI to deliver features such as Camera Coach, which provides real-time shooting guidance, and live call transcription and translation. AI enhancements extend to camera performance, enabling Pro Res Zoom up to 100x and improved photo stability, though handheld shooting at higher magnifications still requires careful stabilization.
Google’s Tensor G5 chip has been optimized for sustained performance and AI workloads while maintaining improved thermal management. Benchmark results indicate solid performance, though not class-leading. Geekbench 6 scores show 2,320 in single-core and 6,094 in multi-core performance, compared with Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro at 3,491 and 8,598, and Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra at 2,863 and 9,484.
Charging speeds remain slower than many Android flagships. The Pixel 10 Pro supports up to 30W wired and 15W Qi2 wireless charging, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL supports 45W wired and 25W wireless charging. Battery performance has improved with AI-driven optimization, with the Pixel 10 Pro XL achieving around nine hours of screen-on time and the Pixel 10 Pro averaging six hours.
Both models feature a triple-lens setup: a 50MP wide-angle camera, a 48MP ultra-wide lens with Macro Focus, and a 48MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom. The AI-driven zoom extends to 100x digital zoom, though performance at 30x remains less refined than expected. Ultra-wide shots deliver more detail compared with competing flagships, while Night Sight continues to excel in low-light scenarios.
The Pixel 10 Pro is priced at Rs 1,09,999 for the 6.3-inch model, while the 6.8-inch Pixel 10 Pro XL costs Rs 1,24,999. Google has not bundled Qi2-certified Pixelsnap chargers or accessories with these devices.
