Paul Rudd returns in nostalgic Nintendo switch 2 commercial, nods to his 1991 SNES Ad

Nintendo has unveiled its very first commercial for the much-anticipated Switch 2, and it’s a nostalgic treat for fans of the 90s. The ad stars none other than Hollywood actor Paul Rudd, who makes a memorable return over three decades after featuring in a classic commercial for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1991.

Now 56, Rudd recreates the magic of his original appearance, complete with the same hairstyle and outfit from the early ‘90s. In the new commercial, instead of inserting a SNES cartridge into the old console, he smoothly docks the brand-new Switch 2 — connecting past and present in true Nintendo fashion.
