Oppo is apparently going to make some changes to the camera layout of the forthcoming Find X9 Ultra, and the leaks are implying that the phone might have two 200-megapixel cameras which would be a challenge to the earlier rumors that the Vivo X300 Ultra would be recognized for the highest-resolution dual-camera system.
Digital Chat Station's sources revealed that the Find X9 Ultra is one of the most advanced photography smartphones coming up soon with a dual camera 200MP array, which is an important change in Oppo's imaging strategy. It is believed that the primary sensor will be a 200-megapixel one with a super-large sensor design, which will be able to capture light even better than the current one-inch-class sensors. This suggests that Oppo is concentrating on increasing the size of the sensor and the quality of the optics in order to get better results in low-light and difficult lighting conditions.
Besides the main camera, the leak also talks about two periscope lenses for telephoto shooting. One is a 200MP mid-range periscope that aims to provide lossless zoom at moderate distances. The other is said to be giving 10x optical zoom with a 50MP sensor, which if true, will make it the only smartphone camera system that can provide this kind of zoom range natively without relying too much on digital cropping.
Previous discussions indicated a more conventional setup: one 200MP Sony IMX09E main camera with OIS, one 50MP ultra-wide lens, and two 50MP periscope telephoto cameras. However, the new leak suggests a change of direction in a big way, focusing on continuous focal lengths of 230mm and possibly even 460mm for zoom. It might be possible for the users to get whole ranged shots with high quality, i.e. wide angle, medium shot and extreme telephoto shot, all at the same time.
In addition to the photography feature, the Find X9 Ultra is likely to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Among the other specifications that are being speculated about, there is an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, ColorOS 16 which is based on Android 16, and a battery capacity of more than 7,000mAh coupled with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging speeds. The release is predicted in China within the first quarter of 2026.
