Oppo has officially launched two new mid-range smartphones designed for high-quality video recording and strong performance in demanding conditions: the Oppo Reno14 Pro and the Oppo Reno14.

The Oppo Reno14 Pro stands out with its powerful Dimensity 8450 chipset, a processor so new that detailed specs are not yet available from MediaTek. This model features a versatile quad-camera setup with four 50MP sensors: three on the back—a main camera with f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS), an ultra-wide lens with a 116° field of view and autofocus, and an 85mm periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom with OIS. The front selfie camera is also 50MP, equipped with a wide 90° f/2.0 lens.

Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording at 60 frames per second. The rear cameras can also utilize a super stabilization mode, while the selfie camera supports 4K at 60fps without stabilization or 1080p at 30fps with super stabilization enabled.

Oppo has clearly designed the Reno14 Pro with live streamers in mind. It features an optional active cooler that clips onto the back and a 20,000mAh external power bank to ensure uninterrupted broadcasting. The phone boasts three built-in microphones capable of reducing background noise by 90%, and a color temperature sensor that automatically adjusts colors for accurate video output.

The Reno14 Pro houses a large 6,200mAh battery, promising up to 5 hours of continuous live streaming and up to 8 hours of gaming. Additionally, it includes a unique live recording feature that captures the last 30 seconds of gameplay even if the user presses record after the moment has passed. Despite its large battery, the device remains relatively slim at 7.48mm (slightly thicker for certain color variants) and weighs 201 grams. Charging options include fast 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.

The standard Oppo Reno14 is a more compact alternative, featuring a 6.59-inch 1080p+ display compared to the Pro’s larger 6.83-inch 1272p+ screen. Both displays offer a 10-bit color depth and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Oppo’s Crystal Shield Glass. The vanilla Reno14 is thinner and lighter, measuring 7.32mm in thickness and weighing 187 grams.

Under the hood, the Reno14 runs on the Dimensity 8350 chipset built on a 4nm process, with a CPU configuration including four Cortex-A715 cores and four Cortex-A510 cores, paired with a Mali-G615 MC6 GPU. Camera-wise, it includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP periscope lens with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS, but its ultra-wide camera drops to an 8MP sensor (still with a 116° field of view and autofocus). The selfie camera remains a 50MP shooter, matching the Pro.

Both Reno14 models offer generous memory and storage options, with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage.

In summary, Oppo’s Reno14 series delivers rugged, high-performance smartphones with a strong focus on video capabilities, making them well-suited for content creators, gamers, and live broadcasters looking for reliable devices with long battery life and advanced camera setups.
