Oppo is getting ready to introduce the basic and Pro versions of its new mid-range Reno 14 series in India on July 3. At 12 PM IST, the launch event will be broadcast live on Oppo's social media platforms.
Camera and Performance Details
Both models are anticipated to use Samsung's renowned 50MP camera sensors. The robust 6200mAh battery of the Reno 14 Pro will support 50W wireless and 80W wired fast charging. It will have four cameras: a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP OV50E sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS).
The basic Reno 14 has a 6200mAh battery and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset. A 50MP Sony IMX883 sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto sensor will make up its triple camera configuration. A 5MP front camera with autofocus is included with both models.
AI Qualities
AI-powered features like Voice Enhancer, AI Editor 2.0, AI Recompose, AI Perfect Shot, AI Style Transfer, and AI Live Photo 2.0 will be included in the Reno 14 series to improve both photography and user experience.
Competition and Pricing
The costs of the Indian models are anticipated to be comparable to those of their Chinese counterparts, despite Oppo's failure to formally publish them. In China, the Reno 14 5G was released for about ₹33,200 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model, while the standard 12GB + 256GB model of the Reno 14 Pro 5G costs about ₹41,500.
Given that rivals such as the Xiaomi 14, OnePlus Nord 4, Vivo IQOO Neo 10, and Realme GT 6T have comparable features at comparable prices, the Reno 14 series is a formidable challenger in the mid-range market.
